Myerscough
The Myerscough (/ˈmaɪərskoʊ/) is a shallow bog along the northern shore of the Nattigheid River. Located 40 km west of Oak Street, it is one of Snoopy's most agriculturally productive regions, especially centered around beetroot farming.
The Myerscough was settled on January 30th, 2019, shortly after Mosswood. It serves as one of the neighborhood's primary economic drivers, and was a major contributing factor to the growth of Mosswood's downtown.
The bog is situated entirely within a swamp biome, with occasional trees jutting from the shallow waters. Its sea-level land has been almost entirely cultivated for farming.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The name Myerscough came directly from Old Norse, as a combination of mýrr and skógr, meaning "boggy wood." The name was introduced by the bog's first settler, Christian Bedford, an etymologist and farmer originally born in the village of the same name in Lancashire.
Administration[edit | edit source]
Regulation of the Myerscough is delegated by the City of Snoopy to Mosswood.
